Small Groups (Authentic Fellowship )
Destiny Church is a church of small groups. We believe that small groups provide the best atmosphere for quality spiritual growth.
At Destiny, small-group ministry occurs in three kinds of groups:
- Life Groups — Weekly evening gatherings of six to 16 people who desire to grow their commitment to Jesus Christ through caring and accountable relationships. By developing community, Life Groups help us to love and care for each other and to experience life to the full. These long-term groups meet at homes throughout the area.
- Discipleship Groups — Short-term groups (13 weeks) that pursue the following goal: to develop and increase conviction in and commitment to the core beliefs and disciplines of following Christ. This goal is pursued through Bible study, Scripture memory, and accountability.
- Service Groups — Long-term groups that serve in ministry together, building community and strengthening relationships. Example groups include greeters, production people, ushers, hospitality people, set-up and tear-down crews, etc. Meeting times and commitment levels vary with ministry type.
