A key responsibility of the Church is to edify (educate) God's people and help them become spiritually mature — increasingly more like Christ in thoughts, feelings, and actions. This discipleship process is God's will for — and should be the objective of — every person who has made a decision for Christ.

We all want to grow. Presumably, you would not be looking at this information if you did not desire to deepen your relationship with Christ. In order to "Get in the Game" with your Spiritual Growth, there are a few things you should know.

Here is Destiny's basic philosophy for spiritual growth:

• Relationship (with God and others) is God's primary plan for growing His people. "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various form." — 1 Peter 4:10 NIV
  
  
• Truth is vital to understand who God is and to grasp His amazing Grace.
  "...speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ." — Ephesians 4:15 NIV
  
  
• True spiritual growth requires time; there are no "McChristians."
  "Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. — Mark 4:27 NIV
  
  
• Growth requires usage of growth opportunities and tools.
